Israeli authorities accused of Human Rights violation by Human Rights Watch (HRW)

Israeli authorities are blamed by Human Rights Watch for human rights violations against Palestine. They are accused of crimes like apartheid and persecution against Palestinian people.

The 213-page report finds that there are so many policies of the Israeli government through which they are trying to maintain domination over Palestinians through demographic and land control. The report also highlights abuses against Palestinians who are living in the occupied territory.

HRW evaluate and analyze laws governing in Israel and compare policies and practices of Israeli Government, they based their finding through years of human rights documentation, official statements of government and case studies.

In International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid of 1973 and Rome Statute to International Criminal Court (ICC) of 1998 defines apartheid as Crime against humanity consists of three elements:

  1. Systematic oppression by the dominant group over the marginalized group
  2. Inhuman acts
  3. Intent to maintain domination by one racial group over another.

This report has followed ICC’s March announcement of an investigation into alleged Israeli war crimes in Palestine.

However, Israeli authorities have denied these report’s findings.
