SC issues contempt notice to Suraz India Trust Chariman Rajiv Daiya for “Scandalizing” Letter.

The SC has issued a letter of contempt Suraz India Trust Chairman Rajiv Daya for insulting the court.

Judges Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Hemant Gupta stated that this way clearly an attempt to intimidate the court and court will not tolerate such behavior.

On May 1, 2017, a group of three SC Judges led by the then Chair,am of the SC of Inida, JS Hehar, collected approximately Rs. 25 lakh in petition fees from the NGO Suraz India Trust for boring and wasting time in court. It also prevents the trust fund and its president Rajiv Daya from bringing cases including PIL to court.

In September last year, the court notified the trust fund *that the value of rupee had not been deposited Rs 25 lakh, taking into account the statement made in the judgment on May 1, 2017, and requesting the disclosure of all movable and immovable properties of the original applicant in order to be able to repay the expenses.

In Feb 2021, the court decided to issue bailable warrants in opposition to Diya because failed to pay the value of rupee. NGO were fined Rs 25 lakh for filing 64 unsuccessful complaints with various HC for “repeated abuse” of the judiciary. Later, in May 2021, the court issued a statement of contempt against Rajiv Daya, in which he strongly opposed his actions and implied that he had violated the order requiring him to produce rupees. The cost of the prosecution against the Judges is Rs 25 lakh.

When the case reopened last week, Rajasthan State learned of a letter to Mr. Daya in response to a lawsuit filed by the relevant authorities, saying that they often shock the court.
